Many patients suffering from rare health problems face high treatment costs. The Illinois Coalition for Access to Affordable Medication, along with some Illinois lawmakers, has crafted proposed laws that would limit the co-payments on the medications these patients need and remove the financial barriers to potentially life-saving drugs.
